"God is good all the time....all the time God is good"

Looking at the book of Lamentations, there are times when it seems like Jeremiah might have disagreed with that sentiment. Born into a time when foreign armies besieged the nation of Israel, Jeremiah started to wonder if God actually did care for His people. As the prophet looked at the destruction all around him, he wrestled with whether or not God really was good. In fact, Jeremiah even started to blame God for all the bad things that were happening to him.

Jeremiah recognized that while his circumstances might be difficult, his God was always good. His world may have been falling apart, but God's faithfulness still stood. Jeremiah could always count on God's goodness, even if his situation made it seem otherwise.

In the same way, I think this is a truth we need to grab hold of today. Sure, our situation may not be as dire as Jeremiah's. Yet, I think when we deal with our own "crumbling" times we could do with a reminder of God's goodness. The next time you find yourself questioning if God really cares, spend some time mediating on Scriptures that remind us how good He really is:

Psalm 34:8: "Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in Him!"

Psalm 100:5"For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and His faithfulness continues to each generation."

Jeremiah 33:11b: "Give thanks to the Lord of Heaven's Armies, for the Lord is good. His faithful love endures forever!'"

Lamentations 3:25-26: "The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him: it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord."

I pray you never give up and never forget that "God is good all the time...all the time God is Good"

Today is a new beginning, a second chance! The world is waiting for the AWESOME side of you! GO! Enjoy this beautiful day the Lord has given and know that you are wonderfully, fearfully and beautifully made in His image!! Have a  wonderfully blessed day!!

Continually praying,
