A Dose of Truth Serum....."The Life Of Job"

I'm starting and crafting a new Bible study on the life of Job. I have always been intrigued by the story of Job and how he stayed so faithful to God, even when he was literally at rock-bottom and had nowhere to go, nothing left to trust in and lost everything. That's the life I want to live. I want to trust Him (our Lord) even when it seems impossible! What better way to do that than to dive into the Bible and learn more.

To start out this study, here is a little introduction to the Book of Job in the Bible:
It's easy to thank God when he does what we want. But God doesn't always do what we want. Ask Job. His empire collapsed, his children were killed, and what was a healthy body became a rage of boils. From whence came this torrent? From whence will come any help?
Not from his wife. You can't really blame her for telling Job to curse God, right? But to curse God and die? Now that's scary! Then come his friends. They mean well, but they comfort poorly. How many of us have those type of friends? They mean so well, but they often do more harm than good... unintentionally of course! They tell him he must have been pretty bad to get it so bad. Really? As if He did something wrong and God was punishing him...but, that's certainly how they seen it.  "With friends like you guys...," Job says and then tells them to take their theology back to the dime store where they bought it. Getting no comfort from family or friend, he goes straight to God and pleads his case. His head hurts. His body hurts. His heart hurts. And, he can't tolerate anymore half-baked answers. "Why is this happening to me?" he demands.
And God answers....
This is going to be the best study I've ever embarked upon. We all have had our "Job moments" where we felt alone, felt like we've lost it all, or maybe you're in the midst of your own "Job situation" currently. You have to know that if you continue to trust God -- you will get through this...the rain will cease and the storm will pass...but you cannot lose Faith & Hope! I have to tell you that you must know the only way to get through it is on your knees...

Stay tuned....this is going to get good!!
"There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil." (Job 1:1)
I leave you with this food for thought.... What kind of a man or woman are you? Are you one that is blameless? Clearly, Satan hoped to convince God that Job only was righteous because of his comfortable life. Is that you and I? Are we only righteous when everything is perfect and right?

As I said before, if you take nothing else away from my blogs - I pray you will never forget that you are "wonderfully and fearfully made" (Psalm 193:14). Never forget that you are the son or daughter of the almighty King of King and that you do not have to "BE" what the world expects you to be, but you do have to be what makes you happy and what's pleasing to God! Do something kind today, be nice to others, and respect those you interact with. Strive to make a difference in others lives, but more importantly, make a difference in your own life. Life is messy...thank God for Bounty paper towels, Grace & Mercy!
"Pretty words aren't always true...and true words aren't always pretty."
"And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (John 8:32)

Our Reactions Speak Volume

Wahoo!! Gooood morning!! Time to rise and shine and give God the praise and glory that you're alive and breathing! I don't know what your Bible study time looks like, but with my little one, I get the occasional interruption of "Mom, I need these books!" as she places her book order on my Bibles. 🤗 I just LOVE her to pieces! Today remember, sometimes interruptions are Gods reminders of the blessing we have in front of us! Be thankful! We often look at interruptions as something bad. Truly, they could be a sign from above, a reminder of what you have right in front of you that needs your attention more than what you're focusing on at that present time. Yes, interruptions can be frustrating but they can also be our greatest blessing. I challenge you to stop and look at your interruptions with a heart of God and be thankful! We are often judged by our reactions - not always just our words.

"in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."

Believe In Yourself!

Good morning! Time to rise & shine! What a privilege to have open eyes, a beating heart and the chance to make today better than yesterday! Little tip: My Parents always taught me to stand tall and be proud of who I am! If you don't have that kind of support in your life just know that if you're reading this you do now, because there is a God who loves you unconditionally & will help you learn to find yourself and your beauty in all things! Never give up! Your thoughts determine your outcome! Have an awesome and blessed day! Make memories and make today count!!

True Beauty!

Good morning!! Oh how excited to be able to share with you this morning! I love waking up....beats the alternative! 😂 Here's a little Wednesday's Wisdom for you: Don't let the world make you think you're not beautiful....You are! It's not what's on the outside that counts...it's what's on the inside. In my opinion, self-confidence is the best thing one can put on daily! I'm teaching my daughter that it's proven beauty fades, but a sincere, humble, genuine and loyal heart will last forever! Be the kind of person you want others to see in you. Now, GO! Be the awesomeness God designed you to be!! Make memories and make today count! Have a blessed day!

"So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day." (‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4‬:‭16‬)

"Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." (‭Proverbs‬ ‭31‬:‭30‬)

Back To The Basics

Good morning!! Time to rise and shine...no whining allowed on this beautiful morning! As I read through scriptures this morning, I was moved by some simple facts such as, our Lord truly helped the weak! He walked everywhere He went, He didn't have a cell phone, GPS, etc....He let His Father be his guide and was not driven or motivated by material things. I often wonder what this world would be like if we went back to the 'basics of life' where families actually talked to one another at dinner, kids played outside, we were really accountable for our wrong doings and everyone worked hard towards the same goal? I'm not saying it was perfect when I was a child but it certainly was close and there were true work ethics and morals still in place. We had skinned knees and lifelong friendships. Just seems as if we're going in the wrong direction nowadays.

If God is your GPS then your whole outlook will change. Pray for those around you. Pray for a changed heart. Then pray that God will give you the edge over our competition so that your light will outshine the darkness in this world. It's time we put the happiness back into the workdays/places! Became thankful for what we have and be the leaders God designed us to be.

Go! Have a blessed day!! Make memories and make today count because it will never come this way again!

"In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive." (Acts 20:35)

Proverbs 31 Woman

Good morning! Time to rise and shine and show the world just how awesome our Lord has made me & you! I've always said, "my daily desire is to be a 'Proverbs31 woman'!" One that sets the examples and not just shares a 'talk' about what she would want to be. I want to be the one that inspires and not conspires, one that loves and doesn't hate, one that gives and not just take. But it take daily work! NO ONE is perfect! But you can perfect your walk with Christ, which in-turn will perfect your way of life. Find your purpose, love who God designed you to be and then GO! Be that awesome person!!

Remember, it's not just about learning how to stand still - it's about being able to stand strong. The winds WILL eventually die down!

Have a wonderfully blessed day! Make memories and make today count for it will never come this way again! 💕
