With God All Things Are Possible

With the holidays I have once again found an excuse for not writing.  (Big smile)  Well, the Lord has really been tugging on my heart to get this blog updated and so I decided I better not wait any longer.  Obviously this is a word that someone (or maybe it's just for me) needs to hear.

It's awesome to know that if you are still long enough you can really hear God speak to your heart.  The problem is, so many times we are too busy talking vs. listening, or we simply don't sit still long enough to hear what God is trying to tell us.  This is how we miss our blessings.

I've been really working on trying to "listen" vs. "talking" and for anyone that knows me, knows that is one huge challenge!  What I'm learning is that God does not direct us down a path that will hurt us, we walk that way all on our own; however, he will let us take that path to teach us a lesson.  One thing I feel very strong in my spirit to share with you is that you must heed to the word of God and not wait too long... Don't wait until it's too late.... turn to Jesus and let Him be your co-pilot.  Let Him be the light in your life.
Today I felt so compelled to post the following on my facebook page.  It was as if God was trying to reach someone to let them know that he has not forgotten them but that he just needs them to have a little bit of faith and stand still long enough to remember He is still God & is still in control!

"God doesn't give us trials to break us - but to only make us stronger! When you feel you're down to your last straw, remember God is the maker of the hay and can replenish your supply & faith! Don't give up....just stand up & take control!  "And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus." – Phil 4:19"

Notice the above verse says "ALL." It desn't say "some" or "most," but it says that He will meet all of our needs. It doesn't say how He will meet our needs and I have found from experience the way He does it is often not what I expected. But the bottom line is that God is faithful and He does what He promises.

Whatever you're facing, whatever your challenge, remember we serve a mighty God and with him All things are possible!!

Babies Daughhetee Update

 Dear Family & Friends,

We had another sonogram today.  I do not think those will ever get old! I look forward to them every two weeks (three weeks max).  We're told that most only get 1 or 2 sonograms throughout their whole pregnancies so we feel extremely blessed.  The Girls are doing great.  They were both quiet the little wiggle worms today.  It just warms our heart to see them so active at this stage.  Of course, not ever having babies before we have nothing to compare to except what the sono lady tells us and she says "y'all are going to have your hands full"... (smile)

Their heart rates were all over the place.  Baby A was 151bpm and Baby B was initially 135bpm the first time and then 141bpm the second time we checked; then she started dancing around so I'm sure it just steadily increased.  About 1/2 way through I had to readjust.  My back was killing me; so she let me roll onto my side.  When I moved then both girls had to re-adjust and were probably wondering what in the world I was doing.

Overall, Baby B is exactly 1/2 the size of Baby A.  This is not uncommon.  They are two completely different pregnancies and Baby B actually implanted over a week later so she's always been a little behind her sister on the size chart.  I expect they will catch up as we get closer to delivery.  I'm just so thankful that they are both growing and have healthy heart beats.  For us, it simply brings a whole new meaning to "thanksgiving"!

We are so blessed, yesterday a sweet lady brought us two big tubs full of the most beautiful little girl clothes.  Going through those clothes just made me swell up (okay, the hormone surges don't help) and remember God sends us Angels every day & we simply call them friends.  We're so lucky to have the friends we have... and of course, our families are awesome too!!

As always, all we ask is that you continue to pray for us and our girls, and we'll continue to keep you updated.  Hope you enjoy the pictures.

From our family to yours ...... Happy Thanksgiving!

Babies Daughhetee Update

Dear family & friends,

It has been brought to my attention that I have not sent out an update on our babies in a while and well, there is a lot to report so I thought I would take the time today to get one sent.

I feel like there is so much to report since our last update.  I am not sure where to start.  We are officially approaching the 19th week into our pregnancy.  We had a sonogram a couple of weeks ago and we found out they are Girls!!  Yes, both girls!  We couldn't be happier.  Of course, we actually did not really care if they are girls or boys.  At the last sonogram, Baby A's heart rate was 146bpm and Baby B's heart rate was 148bpm.  My baby sister was able to come go with us for the sonogram and Baby B must have known she was there because she sure did put on some kind of a show.  She was doing everything she could to gain attention, waving, arching her back and stretching, and kicking and Baby A just showed us she was there, waved a little and went to sleep.  I have a feeling that's how it's going to be when they get here - never on the same schedule!  (lol)

As we reflect upon this time in our life and tie it to the time of year "Thanksgiving" - we realize we have so much to be thankful for.  We are so blessed to even be pregnant let alone to have come this far.  We know several couples that have tried IVF and they rarely worked the first time so we believe God's favor was upon us and we're trusting and believing in him that we will bring home two healthy little girls in just a few short weeks (19 to be exact... yes, we're counting down).  :))

Thank you all for your continued prayers and I'll try to do better about getting our updates out sooner.  We sincerely appreciate it.  Hope you enjoy the pictures.
