Prayer Changes Things...
Good morning blogger fans.... I pray you're up and shining bright!!
Well….I would have had
this out sooner but right in the middle of writing my morning blog, God spoke
to my heart and ….well….He changed my path/course of what I‘m supposed to be
sharing. I was a little disappointed because my other one was…WOW! But
apparently someone (including myself) needs to read this more – so I must obey!
Have you ever stopped
and wondered why there is so much conflict and tension in relationships today?
Really in the world period? Why there are so many divorces, broken homes,
broken friendships, brokenness period? I have. I have also cried out to God in
my prayers and begged Him to show me how to love someone the right way. How to
be a better wife, mother, friend, employer, employee, daughter, sister, aunt. I
don’t seem to really feel like I get the answer I’m looking for. Then I think, “what
exactly is the answer I‘m looking for?” That’s
when, as I rose from my prayers this morning, I realized that the reason my
blog was changed is because it’s for me.
It’s been a tough
couple of weeks at the office – which, yes, naturally, rolls over into the
home-life because whether we admit it or not, we ALL bring our work home with
us in some fashion or another. Whether its texting, emailing, worrying,
finishing that last employee evaluation at midnight, polishing those last
tweaks for that presentation, drilling down into the P&L just a little
longer to find that budget gap, etc., we are all guilty of it in some way.
As I reflect back over
the times when I’m diligently praying for peace, harmony, brokenness, to be a
better person, or better friendship, leadership skills, etc., it’s usually been
a time when I have felt “wronged.” Times when I am flooded with emotions and so
I go to Him on bended knees and begin praying more generically to be better at
all of the above. This morning I felt God speaking to me to stop being so
generic in my prayers. Be Specific! God has a plan and design for each of our
lives. He wants us to prosper. He wants us to live FULL lives, not lives of
discontentment, loneliness, sadness. He designed us to be HAPPY! In Matthew
7:7, Jesus tells us through his red lettering in the Bible to, “Ask,
and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be
opened to you.” If you notice, not once does it read “maybe!”
“Therefore if there is
any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the
Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having
the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through
selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others
better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests,
but also for the interests of others.” Philippians 2:1-4
You know what to
do.... It's AWESOME time!! GO! Let them be envious of your amazing self!! Have
a blessed day! Make memories and make today count!
Remember, as I've
written before, if you take nothing else away from my blog - I pray you will
never forget that you are "wonderfully and fearfully made" (Psalm
139:14). Never forget that you are the son or daughter of the almighty King of
King and that you do not have to "BE" what the world expects you to
be, but you do have to be what makes you happy! Do something kind today, be
nice to others, and respect those you interact with. Strive to make a
difference in others’ lives, but more importantly make a difference in your own
life. Life is messy...thank God for Bounty paper towels, Grace & Mercy!
"Pretty words aren't always true...and true words aren't always pretty, but when the truth is spoken, it's always beautiful!"
"And you will know the truth, and the
truth will set you free." (John 8:32)
Make memories and make today count for today will never come again. GO! Be the awesome person God designed you to be! Have a blessed day!

the Lord's" (I Samuel 17:47)
