The Ingredients for Success

"The Ingredient for Success"

A young entrepreneur approached a corporate leader after a seminar and asked, "I'm not very smart but I'm hardworking. Will I ever succeed?" Without blinking an eye, the expert said, "You will definitely succeed! You have three of the most important traits for success: hardworking, knowing what you don't know, and asking for help."

I must say I agree with that answer. Intelligence seems to be quite over-rated as an ingredient for success. In fact, intelligence can mean trouble for the young, because it can often make one lazy, over-confident and proud. The most successful people in any field are those who ask for help because they know what they do not know. And they work hard.

Don't get me wrong. I am all about hiring people that are well educated and smarter than I am. However, we cannot overlook those who have an attitude of gratitude and eagerness to learn. Be careful to not judge those without a degree without getting to know their story. You could be missing out on hiring a genius!

Same applies for judging yourself. Keep that in mind the next time you're tempted to doubt if you'll ever make it in a world where everybody seems to value degrees and titles above everything else. If you're willing to sow the seeds, you will reep a harvest. But, I caution you to be careful of the seeds you sow. Make sure they're worth the effort and you want them to reproduce. Nothing's worse then planting bad seeds.

"In the morning sow your seed, And in the evening do not withhold your hand; For you do not know which will prosper, Either this or that, Or whether both alike will be good."
‭‭(Ecclesiastes‬ ‭11:6‬)

The world is waiting for the awesome side of you! GO! Enjoy this beautiful day the Lord has given and know that you are wonderfully and beautifully made in His image!! Have an amazing day!!

Remember, as I've written before, if you take nothing else away from my blog - I pray you will never forget that you are "wonderfully and fearfully made" (Psalm 139:14). Never forget that you are the son or daughter of the almighty King of Kings and that you do not have to "BE" what the world expects you to be, but you do have to be what makes you happy! Do something kind today, be nice to others, and respect those you interact with. Strive to make a difference in others lives, but more importantly make a difference in your own life. Life is messy...thank God for Bounty paper towels, Grace & Mercy!

"Pretty words aren't always true...and true words aren't always pretty, but when the truth is spoken, it's always beautiful!"

"And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (John 8:32)

Make memories and make today count for today will never come again. GO! Be the awesome person God designed you to be! Have a blessed day!

Blessings,
Candye~
