2020 Quarantine Kitchen Remodel Update (7/11/2020)

Well, it’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted an update on our remodel. There’s been a lot of waiting and more waiting during these last couple of weeks due to the COVID pandemic.

We did get the new sink in! And I LOVE it. It’s a handmade piece that’s just going to set the tone for the kitchen.

It’s been a real struggle to not have a kitchen to do dishes in. Alexis’s bathroom has basically turned into my kitchen. To say she’s not happy about it is an understatement. 😁

We got the floor installed this week. It’s a little darker than I anticipated; however, we love them. Once we get the painting done it will look really good.

We have a ways to go still. However, it will be so beautiful when we’re finished.

Surprisingly, we have really gotten creative and we definitely eat well!

In the midst of chaos around here, we took the 4th to celebrate our freedom and wish America a Happy Birthday! And, Ryan and Alexis built their first project together. I am so blessed! God has given me the perfect family! ♥️

We have countertops scheduled for July 27th. I really hope my new range is in before then.

We have lots of painting to do in the meantime.

Hopefully, the next update will be after the painting is done.

Of course, we had to have some fun before all the furniture gets added back. Everyone loves to slide across the floor in their socks, right? We sure did!

It’s a slow process — but it’s going to be so beautiful when it’s finished and we’ll have a sense of pride knowing we did it (mostly) ourselves.

I pray as you're reading this - regardless of the time of day - you stop and give thanks for all of your blessings (big and small), and may your day be full of indescribable blessings!

Many thanks for sharing in our journey and following along. Remember, if you have any ideas, (pro) tips, or advice, or best places to shop that you'd like to share with us - we'd love to hear them. Please comment, or email me, as we will be looking for the most economical (when feasible) way to do this remodel.

Blessings,
Candye~
