Overcoming Fear of Change

I absolutely love this.

God promised to go before you and prepare the way.

Just get up and walk.

You will hear Him whisper the way. But you have to move.

It does no good to ask and then not receive because you're afraid.

Let your fear drive you not stall you.

It's time to start believing in the person God designed you to be! (Deuteronomy 28:13)

Looking for a place to donate to...?

As the year comes to a close, I know there are many looking for reputable and respectable places to make year end contributions and donations for a tax write off or just because.

I encourage you to really search your heart and consider giving to this Godly organization that offers restoration of hope to the lives of so many young girls that are lost! Please read more about them and if you cannot give, I ask for your covering of prayers over them. They do so much with so little. God Bless you!

Overcoming Failure...

The Bible is full of stories of failure and success. I actually call it my manual for success, with plenty of illustrations from real life. Every story is different but the common thread is clear: God's hand is at work in people's lives according to His plan. I love reading these stories. Ironically, I relate to a lot of them as I'm sure you do.

Our own story is no different: whether we succeed or fail by the world's standards, it is God that puts value in all that we do. And He alone determines the outcome. The prayer of the Psalmist is, "May he grant your heart's desires and make all your plans succeed." And the principle from the wise teacher is, "The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again. But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked."‭‭ ‬‬‬‬‬‬

When life falls apart, you can experience God's peace by laying hold of Him in believing prayer.

My prayer for you today is, regardless of what you're facing, I pray you never forget that the Master is at work and that you will turn to Him and ask for guidance and direction. Trust Him to be your shield in your time of need. More importantly, you must believe and have real faith that He will answer. Then, you must wait patiently.

Never forget...

     Faith moves mountains!
     Patience builds character and confidence.

"But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head. I cried to theLord  with my voice, And He heard me from His holy hill. Selah" (Psalms‬ ‭3:3-4‬)

Have an amazingly blessed day!

God Still Answers Prayers...

Thank you so very much for the thoughts, messages, calls and mostly your prayers.

My surgery went well yesterday and I am home resting comfortably. Very small side effects (mostly pain and blurred vision).

I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends praying and such awesome family (hubby, daughter and parents) taking such awesome care of me. I love you all! 💞

Preparing For Surgery...

As I'm preparing to go in for surgery tomorrow, I find myself with a mix of crazy emotions.

This isn't my first surgery, by far. Most of you know our story, and you know that when you are the momma to 18 children, but only one living, it doesn't happen without going through multiple surgeries.

So why the anxiety!?!

Well, this surgery is an emotional end for me and my family. Any hopes we had of having more children will be put to rest tomorrow morning. It's hard to digest.

On top of that, this time, this surgery, it's different. This time I have a little girl to think about, not just my hubby and horses. To say my mind is racing, is an understatement.  Do I have everything planned out for her over the next week? Is the laundry done? Did I get everything her and my husband need for the next week? Did I remember to add the things my parents like to eat to the shopping list? Oh my, what am I forgetting?

This morning I woke up looking at my daughter and tears rolled down my cheek. What a blessing! I will not be sad! I have exactly what I have always prayed for. One child!

I began to pray. "Lord, take this anxiety and fear away. I know it is not designed of you. It is an attack of the enemy." I felt a nudge that beckon me to open a text I received from our sweet Pastors wife and noticed the last three words of one of her texts.... "it is well."

Peace is beautiful! Obedience is even sweeter.

I will be a Warrior, not a worrier! I opened my Bible and began reading. I didn't even finish my prayer but giggled as I apologized to my Heavenly Father for I do that often. I'll be praying and in the middle of my prayer find myself in the midst of my Bible. He's used to it by now. (You can insert your best smiley face here...lol).

The Bible is filled with verses that can bring peace in the middle of struggles, worries and fear. If we ask God, He promises us HIS peace "that passes understanding"! I thought I would share a few Bible verses for meditation when you feel overwhelmed (like I am this week) and maybe you do not know the next step to take. Take time to read these and meditate on them. Let them marinate into your heart.

"And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful." (Colossians‬ ‭3:15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

"Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you." (‭‭I Peter‬ ‭5:6-7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

And finally, one of my all-time favorites....

"For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." (‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭9:6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

I serve the Prince of Peace. My trust is in Him. He is the one and only that extends true peace!

I am so thankful that I serve a mighty God that loves me enough to give me peace. That leads me to verses in the Bible that comfort me in a time of need.

The best thing you can do when you are filled with anxiety and worry is to find a quiet place to pray, read Scripture, and listen to encouraging worship music. God wants you to have a life lived to the fullest and that includes being at peace!

Whatever you're going through. Whatever pain you're in or big decision you have to make - I encourage you to find your way to your knees. There is great peace at the feet of the Master.

I'm am not going to be posting or writing much over the next couple of days but do ask that you keep me and my family in your prayers. God has this (and it is) in the palm of His hands and I will be back in a couple of days!

You know what to do... GO! Start your day acknowledging how awesome YOU are!!

Don't forget to make memories and make today count! You only get one chance at today! Have a blessed day!

Blessings,

He Is Able!

#TGIF! Today (and everyday) God Is First!

For some of us, it's been a long week! There's no shame in admitting you have trials and tribulations. But just remember, no matter how much you don't understand life as it is right now; no matter how uncomfortable it may seem or how hard it gets, don't give up. If God is with you – the same God who spoke life into you, the same God who IS and knows the beginning and the end, the same God who knew you before the foundation of this world - is with you, then ask yourself who or WHAT can stand against you?

Don't lose faith. This too shall pass.

Just as much as I celebrate the beginning of a new week, sometimes I celebrate the ending more.

Have an amazingly blessed day! You're worth it! #WakePraySlay #Ephesians3:20

Ready For A Change?

There are certain moments in your life that will define your destiny.

Will you be like Esther 4:16? This is a crossroads we must all face. Would Esther respond to the call of God to do something significant in history?

This was a time when she had to make the decision to follow the purpose of God or cower in fear. The choice she would make would affect not only her life but also the lives of many others.

Some of you are at that same crossroad. You must choose. You cannot just sit idly by and "hope for the best." You must really look at what is stopping you from making that move, or taking that first step. Then know that if it is ordained by God the Bible tells us that all things ordained by Him will bring good and fruitful results. Remember, what God ordains, He sustains. (Ephesians 1:11)

Never let fear of the unknown stop you from being all God designed you to be. He created you to be the head and not the tail. (Deuteronomy 28:13)

My prayer: "Lord, let us all arise and be radiant with the glory of the Lord. Let your light shine through me. I want to be a beaming lighthouse of hope for so many that sit in gross darkness doubting their self-worth and existence. I pray for words of wisdom that will guide and influence many. I won't let past failures and disappointments keep me silent. I will live in expectations and not be a victim to my circumstances. I thank you in advance for all you have done and all that you are going to do. In Jesus Name,  Amen!"

Now GO! Be that awesome person God designed you to be and live out your abundant life, with FULL expectations today, trusting and believing and claiming it done in Jesus Name!

Blessings,
Candye~

It Is Well...

He's the Lilly of the Valley. The bright and morning star. He gives us strength when we're weak and grace when we're strong.

If you don't know who I'm referring to, his name is Jesus.

Oh how I love to call upon the name of Jesus.

I woke this morning singing songs of praise and thanksgiving just because He chose to open my eyes and give me a second chance today.

I pray you have that same thanksgiving in your heart. Wake knowing He's not through with you yet!

Have a wonderfully blessed day!

New Month! New Opportunity!

Hello December! I have decided this is going to be the best month of the year! How about you?

Little tip for my upcoming entrepreneurs:

I've been seeing a lot of posts on social media about "making it." I want to share a little secret everyone should know.

Want to know how to get to the top? Appreciate being at the bottom.

Every level of success brings good and bad. Learn from the bad and dwell on the good! And most importantly, review every decision with the big boss above. 👆🏻 If He is guiding your footsteps, it's a win, win.

Begin your day in prayer and meditation, so that you can maintain a peaceful outlook and not start your day in a race. Ask the Lord for the desires of your heart and believe that he will answer.(Psalms 5:3)

It's a beautiful journey! Enjoy the ride... Every day is a blessing — and a choice! Choose wisely.

Enjoy The Journey....

In my 40+ years of life I have learned a few things.

1) Everyone comes into your life for a reason. Maybe only for a season - but there is a purpose. Enjoy them.

2) Until you learn to love who God designed you to be - you can never truly love anyone else whole heartedly. You end up loving with expectations that will surely cause you to be let down. Enjoy being you!

3) Repeat 2 for Forgiving Yourself! We are all human and make mistakes. Enjoy learning.

4) As for church - remember this - church is not the 4 walls in which you attend. It's the heart in which you ask and allow Jesus to reside daily. Church is where I go because I too am broken. I am a sinner that is saved by Grace and need God's love, mercy and forgiveness and spiritual guidance every second of every day! You could say it's my "well" in which I get my water to live on weekly. But there's a misperception about 'attending church;' which is a whole separate blog!

5) Enjoy the journey....we only get one 'ride.'

Today, I want to encourage you to love those in your life. Appreciate the season you are in. You are in it for a specific purpose. Let God use you and allow Him to work through you during this time. Enjoy your journey!

When God was preparing Esther's journey to greatness and influence, it did not happen overnight. She did not just arrive in 'that place' one day and say to the King, "Wahala! Here I am! Ready or not!" No, she endured a process. It consisted of a beautiful process that would take months before she could be in the presence of the King. (Esther 2:12 AMP)

Whatever "process" you find yourself in today, don't try to rush through it. Learn from it. Often God takes us through valleys so we can truly enjoy the view at the top. God cannot use a proud woman (or man).

Being taken through a preparation process presses and purges out impurities of the heart and spirit, such as pride, rebellion, bitterness, anger, selfishness, so that we can be used by the Lord to fulfill our purpose.

We cannot be a vessel for God to use us if it's full of junk.

Enjoy your journey. This is the "dash" (in the middle) that will make the beginning and ending have purpose and meaning.

My prayer for you today is that you will open your heart and mind and let God use you in the way that will make this world a better, brighter place and that will glorify and magnify Him.

The world is waiting for the awesome side of you! GO! Enjoy this beautiful day the Lord has given and know that you are wonderfully and beautifully made in His image!!

Remember, as I've written before, if you take nothing else away from my blog - I pray you will never forget that you are "wonderfully and fearfully made" (Psalm 139:14).

Never forget that you are the son or daughter of the almighty King of Kings and that you do not have to "BE" what the world expects you to be, but you do have to be what makes you happy!

Do something kind today, be nice to others, and respect those you interact with. Strive to make a difference in others lives, but more importantly make a difference in your own life. Life is messy...thank God for Bounty paper towels, Grace & Mercy!

"Pretty words aren't always true...and true words aren't always pretty, but when the truth is spoken, it's always beautiful!"

Make memories and make today count for today will never come again. GO! Be the awesome person God designed you to be! Have a blessed day!

Have You Responded To Your Calling....?

Not my will but yours, Lord. Not my plans but yours, Lord.

My journey is favored and blessed and I am so thankful!! Is that your response to His calling? Have you been called and are running?

It never ceases to amaze me at the timing of God. When we run, He finds a way to stop us in our tracks. Bringing us to His calling. Don't run. He only wants to take you Higher and Deeper!

Great is His faithfulness!

Remember, God doesn't call the equipped. He equips those he calls!

My prayer for you is to know that there is nothing too big my God cannot handle.

Have an amazingly blessed day! #WakePraySlay

Receive God’s Favor

Good morning! Time to wake and take your day by the horns!

Today, I claim and confess the favor of God over your life. I claim victory over everything your hands touch. God ordained your life before you were formed in your mother's womb. He designed you to accomplish.

I believe He is going to open doors and ways of access into every place you need to be to show forth His glory in your works.

Praying blessings and favor for all you do today! #WakePraySlay

Facing Your Jericho Wall.

Good morning! Time to rise and shine!

I wonder, if I could see your hands, if I asked who is facing a battle? How many hands would raise?

Truth is, I don't need to see your hands, because we are all facing a battle of some sort. Big or small. We all have them.

I want to remind you of the 'Jericho Wall' as you go into battle on this Monday morning. Do not get discouraged. You may have to circle your wall seven times (or more) before you see movement. The key is to never give up. Keep walking. Keep moving forward. Keep believing. Keep trusting. Keep your faith.

Regardless of what you're facing, never forget that you do not have to go it alone.

God's word to Joshua is God's word to us: "Be strong and of good courage" (1:6). Do not heed your fear. Do not cower before your woes. Take the land God has given you to possess. Joshua did not go forth hoping to win. He went forth knowing that God had already won.

The same can be said for you and your challenge. God did not say, "Candye, break your bad habit." He says, "Candye, I have broken the bad habits of your life. Receive the blessings of my victory!"

Remember, you are a coheir with Christ. Every attribute of Jesus is at your disposal. The question is not, will you overcome? It is when will you overcome? Life will always bring challenges. But God will always give strength to face them if you just ask.

"But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." (I Cor. 15:57)

I pray your Monday is full of blessings.

The world is waiting for the awesome side of you! GO! Enjoy this beautiful day the Lord has given you and know that you are wonderfully and beautifully made in His image!! Have an amazing day!!

Remember, as I've written before, if you take nothing else away from my blog - I pray you will never forget that you are "wonderfully and fearfully made" (Psalm 139:14). Here’s Your Sign...

I wrote this a couple of years ago and it came up in my memories — well worth sharing again! ♥️

Many people have wondered if Jesus really loves them. The Bible is clear that no matter what we have done, Jesus does love us. In fact, He promises to both forgive us of every wrong we have done and provide us eternal life if only we will believe in Him: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16).

Romans 5:8 says, "God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Before we were even born, God sent His only Son Jesus to die on our behalf to give us the opportunity for eternal life. This amazing gift comes to us because of His wonderful grace toward us: "It is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast" (Ephesians 2:8–9). We don't have to earn His love; we simply accept it.

It may be difficult to believe Jesus loves you because of other people who have let you down in the past. However, Jesus is unlike any other person; He is God in human form (John 1:14). He was involved in creating us, He sustains our every breath, and He offers us new life now and eternal life in heaven with Him.

Never forget how amazing you are and that you're the sons & daughters of a King! Have an amazingly blessed day! Make memories and make today count!

Blessings,
Candye~

“Thank You” With A Full & Thankful Heart!

As we are in the throes of the "thankful" season, I find myself daily giving thanks for all of you that have chosen to follow our story. Our life's journey.

When I obeyed God and started this journey of "transparency," I never dreamed it would produce such an intimate and inspiring unveiling in my life. Connections with people from all around the world.

I have had the opportunity to meet some truly amazing individuals that have honestly touched me (and my family) in a way that is simply indescribable. Your faithfulness to follow me is humbling.

I receive hundreds of messages of thanks from so many of you that follow me daily. What I fail to communicate is that it is I who is thankful. Your reach outs are a blessing beyond words. They keep me going. Even those messages that challenge me. That challenge my beliefs. Those make me a better person.

So, today, I simply thank you

I pray God's abundance and blessings over you and yours.

May your seasons be full and your joys be many. I pray this week you have more than you can imagine.

One thing I have learned in this journey, is that "being a blessing" is far greater than receiving one. I promise you!

"O LORD, You are my God. I will exalt You, I will praise Your name, For You have done wonderful things; Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth." (Isaiah‬ ‭25:1)

Now, I pray your yummy sweet potatoes (my favs) are without calories, your travels are favored, and your time is plentiful.

From our family to yours....

Coping With Death — #CancerSucks‼️

I received the news Sunday after church that another longtime friend, Gina Calk Crocker, lost her battle to that awful disease, cancer. She had passed away earlier that morning. I was actually sitting in Olive Garden with my little family when I received the text from a dear friend. I was heartbroken.

She fought a long, hard battle and gave that disease a run for its money, but in the end - we lost her. 😪 I've known Gina since I was in jr high, and my heart is shattered, so I cannot imagine what her sweet family are going though.

(Gina Crocker, May 17, 1970 - Nov. 12, 2017)
Since Sunday, I've tried to process this and make sense out of why so many precious people in my life are suffering with this horrible illness.

I've tried to connect the dots of their lifestyles, their illnesses. Anything. Just to make one small connection that would help me wrap my mind around these losses — but I keep coming up with the same conclusion. Nothing. Just sadness. Confusion. Anger.

There is no rhyme or reason. I do know, cancer is no respecter of person. It can claim any of us, at any time, and that is just unfair!

(Michelle Piha, Feb. 25, 1973 - Oct. 11, 2017)
Everyone of these ladies were unique and special, just as their illness.

Through my search, I did find one common consistency among them — their FIGHT! WOW! They each fought an amazingly and honorable war! They each showed strength beyond human ability to carry on and I so admire them.

I will definitely miss each one. I will not pretend to be okay with these losses, and I will never understand, but I can promise you — I will never forget them either.

I ask that you each stop and love yourself, love your spouse, love your family and love your friends. Treasure each breath you have the privilege to breath, because you just never know when it will be your last.

(Kristin Huffman, Jan. 12, 1981 - Sept. 3, 2017)
I clearly do not understand. But one thing I do know for sure - Life is short! Make it count! We only get one chance to live out this "dash" that separates the beginning from the end. Don't waste one moment!

In loving memory of each one of these brave warriors, I write this simple message just for them.

Ladies, Kristin, Michelle, and Gina...
THANK YOU for just being You! Thank you for the memories and blessings you brought me! May you Rest In Peace and know you will never be forgotten... You will reside forever in all of the hearts of those that had the honor to know you! To love you. To laugh with you. To cry with you. And, now, to rejoice with you as you receive your heavenly wings. I love you infinity! 😪💕

My prayer:
Heavenly Father, at this moment nothing seems to be able to help the loss I feel and the hurting I know these families are enduring. My heart is broken and my spirit mourns the loss of these great ladies I've had the privilege to call my friends. Although I do not understand this horrible disease that continues to claim precious lives, I do know that Your grace is sufficient. This day, this hour, and moment by moment, I choose to lean on You. For when I am at my weakest Your strength is at its strongest. I pour out my grief to You and I praise You that on that glorious day, when all suffering is extinguished and love has conquered. I know we shall all walk together again in your Heavenly presence. I lean heavily on Your Word and the promises they bring. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." (Matthew 5:4). Lord, I plead with You to wrap your loving arms around these families, and the children, as they continue to mourn the loss of their loved ones. Comfort them as only you can. In your precious name I pray. Amen

“Honoring Our Veterans”

As I reflect on this day, I want to extend a little big "thank you" to all Veterans for your service and sacrifices, who have served and are serving, so me and my family have the privilege of enjoying our freedom. It is not something I take lightly.

A very special thank you to the Air Force man that captured my heart, my husband. He served his country as well, and although he's not serving today, I can honestly say, "once a military man, always a military man." You're a hero to me and our daughter! We are so proud of you and love you, Ryan!

And a special thank you to my Dad.  He served in Vietnam and earned a Purple Heart during his tour.  I am so proud of you and the service and sacrifices you gave to our great country... I Love you, Daddy!

I am honored to have so many in my family that have served, or are currently serving, and it's an honor to remember you and honor you on this day! All of whom I love, respect, honor, and learn from daily! Thank you!!

To all the incredibly brave heroes who fight or have fought for the freedoms that we enjoy every single day, we salute all of you and are grateful beyond words for all you have done and are doing!

May we never forget, "Freedom isn't Free."

I love a quote I read that simply stated, "If you really want to thank a soldier, be an American worth fighting for!

With the utmost sincere love, honor and respect, Happy Veterans Day!!

P.S. Alexis picked out all of the above pictures for this blog! ♥️🇺🇸

Be Beautiful! Be You!

God's Word is filled with promises of strength and courage if we place our confidence in Jesus Christ.

It's so easy to become disappointed because we don't see life going the way we want it to and we do not see the big picture that God is working through everything to produce in us a character like Jesus Christ.

We lose confidence in trusting God and begin to trust in ourselves and what we can accomplish. Pride and arrogance takes over quick and we find ourselves forgetting the goodness and grace of God.

Then before we know it, something happens or goes wrong that we cannot control and we blame God. The truth is that nothing apart from God can save us or make us whole.

Jesus is the answer and without Him at the center of our lives, we will continue to struggle with having confidence.

Rise this morning with an insurance of knowing that you are capable of anything you set your mind to do.

You just have to believe in yourself!

GO! Be Beautiful! Be You! You're amazing! #WakePraySlay

Become Fearless So Life Becomes Limitless!

You are what you're made up of. When things don't go your way, you have three choices.

You can either let it define you, let it destroy you, or let it strengthen you. I choose the later!

Everything we go through makes us stronger to face the next day. The next battle. Don't give up.

Just around the corner is the success you've dreamed of. You just have to decide to keep going!

GO! Show the world what you're made of! Have an abundantly blessed day! #WakePraySlay

"But you, be strong and do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded!" (‭‭II Chronicles‬ ‭15:7‬)

Be blessed!
